Encompass Page Can Not Be Displayed
On 2/1/04 the EncompassInsurance.com web servers were replaced. In addition to the change of hardware the virtual IP of the site was changed from 167.127.121.23 to 167.127.121.59. Some errors may be experienced such as:
Resolution: The DNS table the PC is referencing has not gotten the new IP yet. Click Start/Run and type Command then hit enter. At the command prompt type "ipconfig /flushdns" and hit enter. This will purgr the DNS resolver cache and force the PC to get an update from it's identified DNS server.
Routers: These may have the capability of storing DNS information. You can try rebooting the device to purge it's DNS information.
Resolution: Have 167.127.121.59 added to the list of Trusted IPs. Some agencies may need to enter a rule in their firewall. Please not that the security software may not indicate that it is blocking the site if notifications have been turned off.
