Policy Document View Not Opening In Browser

Policy Document View must be opened in the browser. The reason that PDV cannot run outside the browser is that PDV does not create a .pdf file on the server which can be opened by Adobe outside of the browser. Instead, Adobe is executed in the browser and the .pdf data is streamed back to the client.

The recommended fix/workaround for Interlink is to - unchecked DISPLAY PDF in browser and unchecked Check browser settings when starting Reader - this workaround for Interlink causes PDV to 'break',

The workaround for PDV when 'disabling Web Browser Integration' in ADOBE 6.0.1 for Interlink, then becomes 'start Adobe' prior to using Policy Document View (and can be minimized so it was out of the way). Then PDV can be accessed and it would open the document using ADBOBE 6.0.1 inside a new browser window.

To avoid having to manually start Adobe, it can be added to the Windows start-up menu and automatically launch when Windows starts.
